Adobe Creative Suite Upgrade Plan, Maintenance and End of Life FAQs
Adobe no longer offers Upgrade Plan and Maintenance & Support (M&S) for Adobe Creative Suite products. Moving forward you can still ensure access to the latest innovation, updates and upgrades for your business with Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe volume licensing customers who wish to stay current on Adobe creative software can migrate to Creative Cloud for teams sold through the Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP).
1. Which Adobe upgrade programs have been discontinued?
Upgrade Plan in Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) and Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) and Maintenance in Enterprise Agreement (EA) for all Creative Suite products have been discontinued and are no longer available. Upgrade Plan and Maintenance remain available for Acrobat.
2. Why is Adobe ending sales of Upgrade Plan and Maintenance for Creative Suite products?
As Adobe transitions to a cloud-based environment all product and service innovation, updates and upgrades will now be delivered via Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud is an ongoing membership that provides access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite® desktop applications plus Adobe Muse™, Lightroom 4, Acrobat XI, Edge tools and services.
3. What if I have an active Upgrade Plan for Creative Suite products when new versions of my covered products become available?
If you made an investment in Upgrade Plan and you are still within your coverage period when new versions of your covered products become available you will receive access to that software. Accordingly, communication will be sent to you at such time with confirmation and instructions on how to access the software and other related details.
4. What if I have a CLP or EA agreement that requires I make a second or third year payment for Creative Suite Upgrade Plan or Maintenance & Support (M&S)?
Because Adobe is no longer offering Upgrade Plan or Maintenance for Creative Suite products you are being relieved of the requirement to pay for the second or third year payments. Creative Cloud is now how we provide you with automatic updates and upgrades for Adobe creative software. If you wish to have access to the latest Adobe creative software, you should consider buying a Creative Cloud for teams membership, which is the best way to stay up-to-date.
5. What is Creative Cloud for teams?
Creative Cloud is an ongoing membership that gives your team access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite® 6 desktop applications plus Adobe Muse, Acrobat XI, Lightroom 4, Adobe Edge tools and services. Creative Cloud for teams makes it easy for your team to collaborate, share files leverage 100GB of cloud storage and explore services for publishing websites, iPad apps and more. Creative Cloud for teams is purchased and managed centrally, making it easier than ever to manage your software investment. Best of all membership means that your team members get access to new applications and feature updates as soon as they are released giving them the ability to stay ahead of the curve.
6. How do I buy Creative Cloud for teams?
TLP, CLP, and EA customers may purchase Creative Cloud for teams via the new Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP) buying program sold through Insight.
